BOARDS
In 2009 appointed by the Danish Ministry of the Interior and Social Affairs to represent the private sector as board member for the national knowledge, competence and development centre, Centre for voluntary social work.
Since 2009, board member of "Fødevarebanken", a food bank project that aims at helping low income families to a healthier living by collecting and preparing surplus and perishable fresh food from the food industry. The food is delivered to social service agencies, who distribute it to socially marginalised groups in Denmark.
From 2007-2009, board member of Kufunda-Denmark, a Danish friendship association supporting the learning experiment Kufunda Learning Village in Zimbabwe. Among other issues, the village works with renewable energy, organic farms, and learning projects.
In 2006 and 2007, Tania Ellis worked as a professional member of the board for the international interior decoration company Rice A/S. The company was one of the first in Denmark to be certified in social responsibility (SA8000).

Since 2009 advisory board member for WeCollaborate that promotes innovative solutions to social and environmental problems by facilitating cross-sector networks and partnerships.
Since 2009, advisory board member of Niels Brock Business Academy's Iværksætterhuset [Entrepreneurship House] with focus on their education programmes. The mission is to promote and stimulate young people's entrepreneurial competencies and urge to start their own businesses.
Since 2009 advisory board memberfor CBS, RUC, Lund University og Malmö Högskola that have launched a joint “Minor in Social Entrepreneurship and Not-for-Profit Management”.
Since 2007, advisory board member for Develop, a Danish student organisation at Copenhagen Business School. Among other activities, Develop organizes a yearly case competition, DevelopPrize, in which students submit business ideas with a potential to create both economic and social value in developing countries.
In 2007, advisory board member of The GreenCarbon Initiative that works to promote and develop an instrument for binding carbon in eco-systems. The aim is to contribute to the reduction of climate change.
COMMITTEES & PANELS
In 2009 member of the Danish Ministry of the Interior and Social Affairs' committee for reorganisation of governmental grants to voluntary social organisations to ensure good framework for innovative and sustainable solutions to political welfare challenges.
Member of the Selection Committee for the Humanitarian Water & Food Award. The Water & Food Award is given to the most innovative, sustainable and humanitarian project that helps people without access to clean water and food. The first prize will be awarded in January 2010.
Since 2008 expert in career panel for members of the Women on their Way network. Here Tania Ellis gives advice to women who want to unfold their talents in accordance with their own values.
In 2008, member of the jury panel for Danish company TrygVesta's BusinessLab Incubation Experiment for Corporate Social Innovation (CSI) and Diversity. Ideas are collected and selected to become business concepts, built on social, sustainable innovation.
